Designed to have their own style and to blend with the environment around them
Dropshort Farm is a new development of just four beautifully designed and constructed homes, which blend with the character of the village and take their place at the heart of the community.
Quality not only in the design, materials and methods of construction, but in the details too: the oak and glass staircases, the choice of Siemens appliances for the kitchen and the extra touches we add, such as colours from the Paint and Paper Library range and the wet room-style bathrooms.
The homes at Dropshort Farm are designed to have their own style and to blend with the environment around them, taking their cues from the ancient tithe barns of the region and bringing the design right up to date. We build our homes for the future, aiming to reduce their carbon footprint and running costs. The homes at Dropshort Farm feature Mitsubishi air source heat pumps, and high specification insulation throughout.
Specialising in desirable homes
Belmark Homes is a privately owned company specialising in the construction of exceptional homes in desirable locations in Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties. Our projects range from bespoke new houses to the restoration of historic buildings, with the emphasis on sympathetic and innovative design, high quality materials and sustainability. We aim to make the process of buying a new home enjoyable and pride ourselves on our after sales service. We build the sort of homes we would want to live in ourselves.

“We are very happy with our Belmark house. It is light, airy, well designed and a delight to live in. The finish is to a very high standard and the fittings are first class.”

Nestled comfortably at the foot of the Downs
Childrey is a fine example of an English village: with its long main street, parish church, village green with a pond and a pleasant assortment of period cottages, it nestles comfortably at the foot of the Downs on the edge of the Vale of White Horse.
Landscape, steeped in rich history
The Vale is a mainly agricultural landscape, steeped in rich history: the White Horse, from which the area takes its name, dates back to prehistoric times; Alfred the Great of Wessex was born in nearby Wantage in 849 AD, and Childrey itself has strong Civil War connections.
